This workshop provides training in plein air landscape painting, working on-location in various areas of @Sky. The workshop is open to beginning students, who have never worked outside before, and to more advanced students, who wish to refine their plein air handling. The course addresses issues including: direct versus indirect approaches to oil painting, topographical versus atmospheric emphasis, and the notion of space composition. The class also offers practice in handling changing light and weather conditions. Students must have a folding French easel (or something similar).
